The cottage bears the name of famous Hungarian writer Géza Gárdonyi, known for his historical novel "Egri csillagok" (Stars of Eger). Gárdonyi lived in Sály and spent his younger years at the house number of our vacation home. The street is named after him, giving the house historical significance.
